CANADIAN AMERICAN ACTIVE RETIREES IN ISRAEL
CAARI BOOK LIST
Over the past years we have had many requests regarding books and materials on Israel. CAARI participants want to learn about Israel’s history, current issues. We have compiled the following list. Your suggestions and recommendations are welcomed and we will continue to update this list. Please share your favorite books with us.
“The Bible” – (Tanach) the Old and New Testament. The New International Version (NIV) is the most readable, but any translation will add a great deal to your CAARI experience. We hold Bible study classes on the weekly portion during the CAARI program. Our personal recommendation is three (3) book set “The Holy Scriptures” by Koren Publishers, Jerusalem, 2001. This set is divided into three books, the Torah, Writings and Prophets with Hebrew opposite English for easy reference and translation.
